What’s Interesting About This Concert

  • An Orchestra Favorite: Lakeview Orchestra members are polled every year on what pieces they want to perform, and Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides made the top of their list for this season!

  • Our annual concerto competition is held each fall and features some of the best high school musicians in Chicagoland. Watch this space to see who wins!

  • Czech composer Antonín Dvořák had strong ties to the City of Chicago; he came here to conduct a concert at the Chicago World’s Columbian Exhibition in 1893.

This concert will last approximately 100 minutes, including one 15-minute intermission.
